Bishop Ammunition remanufactured 38 Special cartridges are made
in the U.S.A at our plant in North Highlands, California by U.S.
Citizens. This ammunition uses a top shelf, top grade modern powder that
is not sensitive to either the temperature or position of the powder
inside the case. This powder yields constant pressure and
velocity shot after shot after shot regardless of the condition in which
it's used. We believe, when properly loaded and inspected, once-fired
brass is every bit as reliable as new brass, if not more. Because
once-fired brass has been, by definition, fired, it provides an
advantage that new-made cartridges do not have: Simply put, the
possibility that poorly formed primer holes would prevent ignition has
been eliminated. Our processed brass undergoes an initial inspection and cleaning, full length sized, deprimed, and primer pocket swaged, a custom-designed
cleaning and polishing process, another hand inspection, then the round
is made on commercial-grade presses, and undergoes a final hand
inspection before the ammunition is hand packed into the box. Just like
when we use new brass, all cartridges go through the same intense
quality control, high precision machining, and personal hand inspection.
- Target-Grade Ammunition.
- Each box contains 50 cartridges, mixed headstamp, either all brass or all nickel-plated brass cases. Nickel-Plated Brass boxes are so marked.
- Modern St. Marks powder insures a more consistent cleaner burn
regardless of temperature or firing position shot after shot after shot.
- 1/10th Grain Consistency = Increased Accuracy = Better Performance.
purposely do not load once-fired processed cases to maximum SAAMI
specification, but it is within the range specified by the powder
manufacturer. There is solid reasoning behind this: Our ammunition
provides a lower recoil, less chance of case splits and less of a chance
of blowing someone's gun up. Other manufacturers do fully load to
maximum specification on their re-manufactured ammunition, or they will
cut corners on the powder used in order to increase their profit margin.
Use theirs at your own risk
- Components are American-made where possible and supply allows. Brass can be a mix of both American and foreign-made once-fired brass.
- Each box will contain either all brass cases or all
nickle-plated cases. We do not mix nickle and brass in the same box.
Your order may contain some boxes of all brass cases and some boxes of
all nickle-plate cases, depending on inventory levels, unless you
