The Bishop Ammunition & Firearms 458 SOCOM Hunter bolt-action rifle offers the versatility and accuracy obtainable from a brush gun in a big bore hard hitting caliber.
Built on the trued and blue-printed Remington 700 Short-Action receiver, and using the Elftmann match adjustable trigger, 16" EV-5 Hybrid Rifled 416r SS bull barrel threaded 11/16x24 and interchangeable barrel system, multi-port muzzle break, and a new version of our AICS pattern 458 SOCOM only magazine, which now holds 8 rounds, plus 1 in the chamber. Throwing the 458 SOCOM bullet, from 300 grains up to the Black Butterfly 600 grain Colossus. This rifle has bench-rest match-grade accuracy.
Our use of the AICS magazine, instead of the standard GI metal AR-15 magazine, gives this rifle one distinct advantage: the ability to chamber and fire the entire range of calibers a Remington 700 Short Action can fire with a simple barrel and magazine change. This rifle is NOT limited to AR-15 calibers; this rifle will accommodate ALL short action chamberings.
It is available Cerakoted or in Stainless Steel. It is available in the Magpul Hunter stock in Flat Dark Earth, Black, Grey, and Olive Drab Green. It looks absolutely awesome in stainless steel with a black Hunter stock!
