The AR475 Upper Receiver Assembly, is a AR10 Upper Reciever designed and built to chamber and fire the ultimate in AR10 cartridges, the 475 Bishop Short Magnum. This magnum upper receiver will fit any DPMS pattern AR10 lower receiver. If you are looking to upgrade your AR10 rifle, the AR475 Receiver will allow you to join the big bore boys! NEW!!!
The AR475 Upper receiver is designed to be fully compatible with all DPMS pattern AR10 lower receivers with zero modifications to the lower receiver or trigger assembly. The only change is to install the buffer which is included with the AR475 Upper Receiver and mount the upper receiver as you would with your factory upper receiver. You will use your factory bolt carrier group. The Upper Receiver is fully assembled, comes with one single stack magazine and the tungsten buffer. This upper receiver requires the use of a rifle length buffer tube and stock. The AR475 Upper Receiver assembly includes a certificate for 100 cases and 100 projectiles and loading data. Cases are made by Robertson Cartridge Company and jacketed soft point projectiles are made by Hawk Bullets. At additional cost, solid copper projectiles are available from Cutting Edge Bullets.
Bishop Ammunition and Firearms 475 Bishop Short Magnum was designed specifically for the AR10 platform. This cartridge is literally the biggest case you can stuff down the throat of a standard AR10 star chamber. The cartridge is 2.85" overall length. The projectile is a 390 gr solid copper hollow point. The AR475GAR throws this 475 bullet at 2,500 fps, has 5,500 foot pounds of muzzle energy. The bullet goes subsonic at 700 yards and at 1,500 yards still is moving at 710 fps and has 420 foot pounds of energy. The 475 Bishop Short Magnum has no parent case, and it is not a wild cat and was designed from scratch by Bishop Ammunition and Firearms. Each case is CNC machined from brass barstock on Swiss lathes.
