Bishop Ammunition and Firearms is a Licensed FFL Class 7 Firearms Manufacturer in the Sacramento area of California. We are a two female veteran owned company and an Exhibitor at Shot Show.

The Apex of the custom world of firearms is custom engraving your lower receiver. There is NOTHING more permanent on your AR15 or AR 10, or other firearms than putting your custom logo, text, slogan, or other graphic on it to show everyone you own the firearm and it is UNIQUE to YOU.

Bishop Ammunition and Firearms can put your favorite phrase, a company logo, United States Flag, Military Seals, or anything else you desire on the most prominent surface of your AR lower receiver. We will permanently mark, either surface marking the anodization, or deep engraving both sides of your lower receiver, upper receiver, barrel, hand guard, magwell, charging handle, buffer tube, end plate, castle nut or ANY OTHER part of your firearms. We use industrial fiber laser laser engravers and CO2 laser engravers with extreme precision to turn your Firearm into to a masterpiece. Bishop Ammunition and Firearms will back fill in color at additional expense your engraving and/or cerakoting your firearm after deep engraving to create a true extension of your personality. If you don't see an option listed below just let us know and we will make sure we can turn your firearm into a custom work of art making it unique to you.

Lower Receivers

Our standard lower receiver is made by Bishop Ammunition and Firearms. This is the receiver which we use on our professional 3 Gun Rifle. The receiver is marked with our company name and already includes a unique serial number. Forged from 7075-T6 aluminum and hard anodized to mil-spec type 3 requirements, these lower receivers are guaranteed in quality and workmanship. This is the pinnacle of AR15 and AR10 lower receivers.

Fonts
We generally engrave in a Ariel standard font. However we can use any Windows or free fonts available online. If you would like to use a custom font, please indicate in the options which font you would like to use.

Multiple Graphics
For most customers, we have multiple graphics on file. You may choose your graphic from the options menu. We have available several US Flags, different forms of Punisher, the Spartan Helmet, etc.... You may select the image you want in the options menu without uploading. If we do not have an graphic listed which you would desire, please email us as a picture of your graphic and we will let you know if we can do it and what the file requirement will be.

Engraving Depth

When we engrave your firearm the
standard engraving will remove only the surface anodizing or bleach the anodizing white. If the anodizing is removed, this will result in the white aluminum showing through the black anodizing. The if you request bleaching the anodizing white, the the anodizing is left in place and there is no depth to the engraving. If you intend on cerakoting your firearms after engraving you must select fiber laser engraving.

The anodizing layer on a rifle is usually around .002" thick, so this is a very thin engraving and doesn't usually result in any noticeable texture change. If you intend on cerakoting you need to have us deep engrave your firearms. Depth will be a minimum of 0.004". Keep in mind that the minimum depth for engraving serial numbers, identification of manufacturer, city and state as well as model and caliber must be a minimum of 0.003" to comply with ATF rules and regulations. Deep engraving also allows you to color fill the engraving, or you can cerakote over the entire receiver and still be able to see all the detail of the engraving.

Cerakote Services

We do have the ability to cerakote your lower or even your entire firearm while it is in our care. If you would want cerakoting, you must order fiber deep engraving. If we engrave first, the engraving will be deep. The engraving will result in a factory looking lower receiver. Your firearm's graphics and/or text will look factory original just as the logos and text on firearms you buy from your local gun store. We can STILL still color fill your logo and/or text creating high contrast and a unique image. If you request that we cerakote your firearms first, we can laser engrave through cerakoting which gives white image through the cerakote. This as well can be deep engraved and color filled.

S
BR Engraving

We DO NOT work on short barreled rifles. Please do not even ask.
