475 Bishop Short Magnum cartridge. Designed from the ground up by Bishop Ammunition and Firearms specifically for the AR475GAR Semi Automatic Rifle and the 475 Safari Bolt Action. Each cartridge case is CNC machined from virgin brass by Roberson Cartridge Company out of Texas. Each projectile, 475 Cal, 390 gr jacketed hollow point is custom made for this cartridge aby Hawk Precision.

The cartridge uses a jacketed 390 gr hollow point projectile designed by Bishop Ammunition and Firearms. The bullet is manufactured by Hawk Precision under contract with us. Once a rifle or upper receiver are ordered and delivered the buyer receives a license to purchase brass and bullets from RCC Brass and Hawk Precision directly from them.

The 475 Bishop Short Magnum Dangerous Game is a jacketed bullet that violently expands while also providing deep penetration and maximum transfer of energy. The base of the bullet continues through the target creating a even larger wound channel. The result is a lethal wound on any game in the world for a one shot one kill situation on dangerous game.

The 475 Bishop Short Magnum is expands violently, achieves deep penetration crushing bone. The bullet goes subsonic at 700 yards and at 1,500 yards has as much energy and velocity as a 45 Colt fired point blank. This cartridge has been successfully tested against 3 concrete building blocks passing through, pulverizing and passing completely through all 3. When you have only one shot and it must count this cartridge will take any game in the world.
