Originally introduced at Shot Show 1999, has taken brush hunting by storm. New and Improved for 2024, the Bishop 458 SOCOM Hunter Mark II now include the Bishop 700 BRSA action as standard. Includes two ejectors, side bolt release and 6 locking lugs, providing bench rest accuracy in a 458 SOCOM making it extremely reliable, smooth cycling, and accurate.


From the Magpull or MDT stock, the Elf Match Adjustable Trigger, and Heller Arms EV-5 barrel and 6 port muzzle brake all standard. Multiple attempts have been made by custom gunsmiths to adapt bolt action rifles for use with the 458 SOCOM cartridge. Prior attempts by our competitors have resulted in rifles that continually jam. No major manufacturer has been able to successfully marry the 458 SOCOM to the bolt action platform in a manner that allows for freedom from jamming and extraction problems before us.


Bishop Ammunition and Firearms is proud to introduce the 458 SOCOM Bolt Action Hunter Rifle Mark II, a short action Remington 700 based rifle designed to provide a lifetime of use and reliability. The 458 SOCOM Bolt Action Hunter now enables the hunter to have a purpose built 458 Caliber bolt action rifle in the compact platform of a short rifle action. The rifle weighs 8 pounds, comes with a 16" barrel with muzzle brake making it the ultimate pack and brush rifle.

Available in XX Walnut, 50% Maple, Nutmeg Laminate, Mapul Hunter and MDT stocks.
